Room With A View

Room with a View is an ongoing series that tells a story of quiet, ordinary moments spent in hotel rooms and public places, in between busy schedules, and events during my travels. It explores the familiar and the strange, and observes the private and intimate space, as opposed to the public space. These photographs portray interior spaces without people, yet the human presence is felt, as can be seen in the ripples in the bedsheets after the occupant has arisen, in the set table expecting its diners, and in the empty chairs hinting to the people who have sat in them, and to those who will. These banal, everyday indoor settings contrast with the curiosity and anticipation of exciting experiences that await in the outdoor views, yet at the same time, the boundaries between the interior and the exterior become blurred, merging them together as one space.
